Our investigation was able to determine the exact position that the surface burner switches were in during the fire.

Electric range
An electric range caused interior smoke damage to a house during the self clean cycle. There was no product failure found. The home owner had failed to scrape out the oven floor before starting the self clean cycle.

Garden tractor fire
The driver of the tractor failed to “idle down” the throttle before dismounting. This caused the engine to backfire and ignite the straw on the floor of the machine shed.

Water heater leak
With the outer shell removed, the water leak was found by a weld on the inner tank.
